Funding

Funding Options

What are your choices?

There are a number of ways you can receive funding for services from Tender Loving Carers.

The guide below illustrates some of the popular options, however is sometimes dependant on the level of support required.

Personal Budget / Direct Payments

Personal Budget / Direct Payments

At times Social Services apply funding in the form of a personal budget, which will mean you may not be paying anything directly yourself or you may need to contribute.

However, it may mean you will be expected to manage your own care budget; this will be reviewed regularly by the local authority.

It is very important that you can manage your budget, so we at T.L.C. will ensure we discuss with you/family what it allows and how your local system works. This method will help keep you in control of how your care is arranged.

A way of managing a personal budget is through a direct payment (given by your local authority)

This will mean that you will make the payments yourself from the money given to you by the local authority. The local authority will provide you with a Kent Card and deposit the funds directly into your bank. From this you can manage and pay for the care required directly to the company.

National Health Service

If you have health care needs and are supported by the NHS, you may not need to have any involvement with the bills. Tender Loving Carers will deal directly with the NHS.

Private

Private

People who prefer to pay privately will be given in advance a clear payment structure.

There are no hidden extras.

We will send you a bill at agreed times and in a clear format, for you or a nominated person of your request. This can be fortnightly or four weekly.

KCC

If you have social care support and are offered a ‘managed package’ you may not need to have any involvement with the bills. Tender Loving Carers will deal directly with the KCC.
